Updating your personal information, such as your username and email address, is simple.
Updating Your Username
- Choose “Profile settings” from the account settings menu.
- In the Profile settings menu, tap on “Change username.”
- Enter your new username in the field provided.
- Tap on “Update username” to save the changes.
A confirmation message will appear indicating “Username updated” once the change is successful.
Updating Your Email Address
- Still, within the Profile settings, select “Change email” to update your email address.
- Type your new email address into the provided field.
- Tap “Send code” to receive a verification code at your new email address.
- Check your email for the verification code.
- Please go ahead and return to the app and enter the verification code in the specified field.
A confirmation screen will appear stating, “Email updated. Your password has been successfully reset. Now try to log in.”
Handling Existing Email Issues
If an error occurs indicating an issue with the existing email, such as “Error with existing email” when trying to update, ensure:
- You are using the correct email associated with your account.
- There are no typos or errors in the email address entered.
- If the issue persists, consider whether the email address might be associated with another account or contact support for further assistance.
